In this series I imagine I have unlimited money, browse on Homes.com, analyse interesting features I see and ask myself do you really need that?
Because just because you can doesn’t always mean you should.
I Do Really Need A Mini Lighthouse Tower

If I had $11 million dollars this is absolutely something I’d spend it on. I don’t even need to see the inside of the home, the outdoor tower (I don’t know what else to call it) has me sold already.
The Hamptons aren’t known for barren gardens. They have some of the most elegant backyards I have ever seen and usually have my 2 favourite landscaping features; green grass in immaculate patterns and bursting Hydrangeas.
30 Wills Point Road in Montauk, New York (the very tip of the Hamptons area) takes it to a whole new level with the most romantic feature I have ever seen.
Attached to the home by a short walkway is a 3 storey circular pavilion. Its shape reminds me of a lighthouse, which fits the aesthetic of the area perfectly.
The entire first level is stone, the top tiers are a mixture of grey and white wood and it’s capped with a shingle roof.
Even without the incredibly panoramic view overlooking the water it’s picturesque.
The listing doesn’t state what’s underneath the tower but the bottom level would be perfect for an outdoor, semi-private shower to rinse off after the pool during the day.

Every other minute of the day I’d be climbing the winding staircase to the top storey and spend my time just reading or watching the sunset.
From the pictures it looks like lanterns and wood are a little salt-weathered, as expected for a waterfront property, but for me that just adds to the charm.
These pictures are going on my vision board. The rest of the house is just as stunning, and you can see the Douglas Elliman listing here. What do you think? Cute or unnecessary?
